As part of our commitment to investing in the latest optical technology, Karen Lockyer Optometrists was once of the first practices in the area to acquire a state-of-the-art Spectralis Ocular Coherence Tomography (OCT) machine.
This groundbreaking piece of technology enables us to capture detailed 4D scans of the layers that make up the back of your eyes. These 4D images allow our highly trained optometrists to identify the slightest changes to the insides of your eyes with unprecedented precision and diagnose the first symptoms of vision-threatening conditions such as glaucoma, macula degeneration and even diabetic retinopathy.
The technology also means we can keep a close eye on your visual health history, as we can compare previous scans to track changes to your eyes as they mature.
If you’d like to find out more about our OCT scans, pop into the practice or give us a call on 020 7228 0467.
